Craig Sager, the Turner Sports NBA sideline reporter known and loved for his colorful wardrobe and sideline banter, now has his own hashflag on Twitter.

On Oct. 25, to coincide with the start of NBA season, Twitter released a pastel checkerboard-patterned suit emoji reminiscent of Sager's fanciful wardrobe. It didn't take long for #SagerStrong to start trending. Anyone who uses the hashtag during NBA opening week will unlock the Sager Suit emoji (this is called a hashflag).

Sager has battled an acute form of leukemia since 2014 and many people took the hashflag opportunity to show their support for Sager on Twitter.

In addition, Turner Sports is auctioning off 100 pairs of "Sager Strong" sneakers, created by Sager and NikeiD, to benefit the SagerStrong Foundation , the organization founded by Craig and Stacy Sager to support leukemia patients and their families.

The auction begins Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. ET during the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers game and runs through Nov. 4. The shoes will be custom-made for the auction winners.

The NBA Store is also selling Sager Strong t-shirts . The shirts cost $30 and a portion of the proceeds will also benefit the SagerStrong Foundation .
