After nearly five months off the air, Youngblood will be back on R&B station Kiss 104.1 this Saturday morning starting at 7 a.m.

Youngblood, who objected to a salary cut in April and left, said in an interview that he and Kiss were "able to compromise, cut it in the middle and work it out."

He talked to other stations but in the end, he felt Kiss was the best place for him to be.

Fans of Youngblood flooded the station with protests.

"We're very excited to have him back," said Tony Kidd, Cox Radio Atlanta vice president of programming who runs Kiss. "He's been in this marketplace a long time. And people love the way he tells stories, the way he delivers the music. People view him as a friend. He's a staple."

Youngblood has hosted Spotlight Gold on the station for two decades primarily with soul classics from the 1960s and 1970s.
