Sylvester Stallone is coming to Georgia in 2020 to star in a new thriller "Samaritan."

The MGM film centers on young boy who seeks out whether a superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event, is still alive, according to Deadline.com.

The movie, currently in pre-production, will start shooting early next year and is slated to come out in the fall of 2020.

Julius Avery ("Overlord") will direct.

The “Rocky” legend, now 73, was in the 2017 hit sequel “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” which was produced at Pinewood Studios in Fayetteville.

The current slate of active film and TV productions in Georgia remains pretty typical at  43. Other recent additions include a TLC reality show "Life by the Ton," indie films "Quiet in My Town," "The Tiger Rising" (Dennis Quaid, Queen Latifah, Katharine McPhee) and "Christmas Love Letter." There's also a new Disney+ series dubbed "Architect" but Disney always uses fake names so it's unclear what that really is.
