Star 94.1's Christmas concert this year may no longer be named Jingle Jam as it had been the previous 14-plus years but it will feature the original "American Idol" Kelly Clarkson.
She will perform at the new Coca-Cola Roxy by SunTrust Park on December 12 with a capacity of 3,000.
Tickets, which go on sale Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., will likely sell out quickly. Prices are not obnoxious: $44.50-$69.50. She most recently performed at the much larger Lakewood Amphitheatre in 2015, her final concert she did before she had her second child.
She will be playing her many hits and surely, some of her favorite Christmas ditties, too.
Over the years in Atlanta, I've seen her at Lakewood, the Fox Theatre, Cobb Energy Centre, Gwinnett Arena, the Loft (for Q100) and Centennial Olympic Park (for a Coca-Cola private event). She's always fabulous.
Local singer Alex Guthrie will open, followed by an acoustic set with the Bleachers.
