"Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 3 cast keeps the same five women

  • The chemistry works. Good move!
  • Should have dumped one or more housewives
  • They better add a new cast member and freshen the pool!

Bravo has decided to stick with what worked season two, keeping “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast the same.

So for better or worse, we get to see Lisa Wu Hartwell, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kandi Burruss and Kim Zolciak again. (Season two featured DeShawn Snow dumped and Burruss added, a net positive from most people's perspective.)

Production starts soon for season three and will likely begin airing in late summer, early fall.

The release below is worded in a way that it doesn't preclude them from adding a sixth housewife. Among the candidates that have been bandied about: model Sybrinia Dean Stupart, model Cynthia Bailey, attorney Phaedra Parks and actress Victoria Rowell. Jonathan Jaxson, former Zolciak rep, said he heard Parks was the likeliest candidate.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" returns for season 3 with last season's complete cast intact – Kandi Burruss, Lisa Wu Hartwell, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kim Zolciak. The docu-series follows these five glamorous southern belles as they balance motherhood, demanding careers and a fast-paced social calendar, and shows what life is like in 'Hotlanta.' "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is produced by True Entertainment for Bravo. Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Matt Anderson, Lauren Eskelin and Marci Mule serve as Executive Producers.
