“The Bachelor” ratings went through the roof Monday night. Jason Mesnick drew the largest finale numbers for the show in five years. The “After the Final Rose” ceremony had even bigger numbers than the actual two-hour finale. The finale brought in 15.5 million viewers and 5.4 rating among 18-49. The post-show special, in which Mesnick changed his mind and switched women, drew a whopping 17.5 million and 6.7/16 in the 18-49 demo. Locally, the show drew 440,000 viewers, and 540,000 for the after show special. Those are not quite “Idol” level numbers but incredibly good numbers nonetheless.
Jason told People he is "not proud" of how he went about things. But ABC must be thrilled!

-There will be dueling Miley Cyrus promotions at Q100 and Star 94 tomorrow morning. It sounds like the "Hannah Montana" star is going to be doing some sort of concert for a small group of fans at Q100 and a breakfast with Star 94. I'm not sure who will get her first. Britney's in town that day for a concert at Philips, too, but no sign of her doing press.
-Variety reports that CBS may be giving "Two & a Half Men" a "super renewal of three seasons. And "The Big Bang Theory" would get two seasons. That's highly unusual but shows you how well the Monday night sitcom lineup is doing for CBS.
-Still waiting to hear who the new morning host is going to be at 94.9/The Bull. Folks on radio-info speculate it might be Jason Pullman, a former radio host at Star 98.7 in Los Angeles, where Ryan Seacrest used to work. No word from Clay Hunnicutt, the boss in Atlanta.
