‘Housewife’ Kandi Burruss on ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ Feb 24-25

But the set-up is a little unusual. She won't be up there alone for charity. Rather, she will be paired with a non-celebrity housewife Michelle Solgan of South Orange, N.J. and will help her out in her path to a potential $1 million.

Solgan was picked specifically because she is a fan of the series and apparently some of the trivia questions are tied to the shows themselves. Burruss said Solgan was sharper than she was on the trivia. (Of course, she wouldn’t say how much she helped Solgan win.)

Burruss’ segments, taped in November, will air Wed. Feb. 24 and Thurs. Feb. 25. Locally, it can be seen at 9:30 a.m. on WATL-TV.

The entire week will feature "Housewives" from New York, New Jersey and Atlanta. Burruss was the only one from Atlanta. Sheree Whitfield and Lisa Wu Hartwell read pre-taped questions. For whatever reason, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak declined to participate. Maybe we'll see them one day on "Celebrity Jeopardy!"

And based on the financial problems some of the "Housewives" have faced in the past, perhaps they could use the winnings from a game show.

Burruss said when she was offered to join the show, she jumped at it immediately. “I’ve always wanted to be on a game show,” she said. “I thought it’d be a fun thing to do.” She was surprised she was the only Atlanta representative.

One anecdote the publicist allowed her to say: Kandi had told Ramona from “The Real Housewives of New York” about how she had won a Grammy for co-writing TLC’s hit “No Scrubs.” A few minutes later, that was a question. It took Ramona and her contestant two lifelines to get it right. “I was dying laughing,” Kandi said.

Burruss said she hasn't signed a contract yet for a third season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and has no clue about who will be back. She sounded sincere about it, too. But she knows Bravo wants to start taping next month so decisions will be made soon. She is inclined to do a second season. (She started the second year, replacing DeShawn Snow.)

She also has a deal with Asylum/Warner Brothers for a new album and a new single set to come out this summer. If she joins “Housewives,” planning for all that will be part of her story line, for sure.

Lisa Wu Hartwell , in a Tweet today, said nobody is leaving the cast that she knows of but a sixth person is coming. That could be entertainment attorney Phaedra Parks.
