'American Idol' bits: Phillip Phillips engaged, Paul McDonald divorce

"American Idol" is debuting its 14th season in five days. I have already previewed the show here. Here are some more gossipy items to tide you over:
Georgia's season 11 "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips gave his long-time girlfriend an engagement ring over Christmas.
He met Hannah Blackwell six years ago and they have stuck together since his win in 2012.
The two met while volunteering at a women and children's shelter in 2009. That's the way he rolls, y'all!

Kimberly Caldwell, who finished seventh season two and hosted a TV Guide channel show about "Idol" for several years, married soccer player Jordan Harvey, according to People.

Season 10 finalist Paul McDonald, on the other hand, finalized his divorce to "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed. He keeps his Nashville home but she keeps three other homes and the dog, according to TMZ.
