At the Shaky Knees Music Festival in May, Tame Impala presented an ethereal, fest-closing set that raised expectations for a fourth studio album.

On Feb. 14, Tame Impala – aka Kevin Parker – will release “The Slow Rush” and follow it this summer with a North American tour.

The outing will kick off in late May in Chicago and wind its way to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena at 8 p.m. June 9 (earlier dates in California, Mexico and England have already been announced).

Tame Impala will be joined by Perfume Genius for the North American tour dates, which will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 13.

American Express Card Members can purchase pre-sale tickets from 10 a.m. Dec. 11 through 10 p.m. Dec. 12.

Fans can pre-order "The Slow Rush" at www.tameimpala.com or with a ticket purchase to any of the upcoming dates. Digital pre-orders will receive instant access to three tracks. Parker recorded the new album in Los Angeles and his hometown of Fremantle, Australia, and has released three songs from it – "Posthumous Forgiveness," "It Might Be Time" and "Borderline."
