How fitting that on the eve of Yacht Rock Revue’s annual Yacht Rock Revival, SiriusXM is debuting a pop-up Yacht Rock channel.

The sounds of Ambrosia, Seals & Crofts, Toto, Stephen Bishop, England Dan & John Ford Coley can be heard from 5 p.m. Friday through Sept. 7 on Channel 31 on the satellite radio network.

Those who prefer their silky, head-nodding music in person might want to check out what is always one of the most guilty-pleasure-filled concerts of the year when Yacht Rock Revue pulls into the Meadow at Piedmont Park at 7 p.m. Saturday.

This year, Atlanta's finest smooth groovers have enlisted an all-star cast of Yacht Rockers to join them onstage – Matthew Wilder ("Break My Stride" and producer of No Doubt); Robbie Dupree ("Steal Away"); Steve Augeri (former lead singer of Journey); Jeff Carlisi of .38 Special ("Hold on Loosely"); Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass ("Brandy, You're a Fine Girl"); Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss of Player ("Baby Come Back") and Walter Egan ("Magnet and Steel").

Tickets for the 21 and older event (minors may be accompanied by parent or guardian) are $40 for general admission.
