Time to say goodbye (we think? Perhaps?) to another rock legend live.
Peter Frampton has confirmed “Peter Frampton Finale – The Farewell Tour,” which sounds fairly final.
The guitar dynamo, 68, will embark on a U.S. tour June 18 and swing through Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre at Encore Park (formerly Verizon Amphitheatre). Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening will open the show.
A Citi card pre-sale runs from 10 a.m. Feb. 26 through 10 p.m. Feb. 28 (www.citiprivatepass.com). The general on-sale begins at 10 a.m. March 1 via www.livenation.com and www.ticketmaster.com. VIP packages will be available at www.frampton.com. Ticket prices are TBA.
The legend behind classic rock mainstays “Baby I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Show Me the Way” is a frequent presence in Atlanta. He played the Alpharetta venue the past two summers and performed an intimate show at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in 2016.
Frampton will be on CBS’ “This Morning: Saturday” on Feb. 23 to discuss the tour.
