Kenny Chesney was one of the first artists to announce a tour postponement, as he told fans in mid-March that he was pressing pause before tour rehearsals even started.

At the time, Chesney and promoter Messina Touring were optimistic about rescheduling the spate of stadium shows, which included a May 16 appearance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead were tapped as openers.

But Chesney has now decided to reschedule his “Chillaxification Tour” for 2021.

“We have decided to quit moving the dates around on the calendar, trying to make a chunk of this year work and go to where we believe we can roll out the entire (tour),” he said.

Previously purchased tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates. Fans with tickets to a postponed show will be able to receive a refund once the new show date is announced.

In addition to the Atlanta appearance, Chesney also had the following concerts on hold:

April 18 AT&T Stadium Arlington, Texas
April 25 Miller Park Milwaukee, Wis.
May 2 U.S. Bank Stadium Minneapolis, Minn.
May 7 iThink Financial Amphitheatre West Palm Beach, Fla.
May 9 Raymond James Stadium Tampa, Fla.
May 13 BankPlus Amphitheater Southaven, Miss.
May 14 Brandon Amphitheater Brandon, Miss.
May 16 Mercedes-Benz Stadium Atlanta, Ga.
May 22 Minute Maid Park Houston, Texas
May 23 Alamodome San Antonio, Texas
May 28* Blossom Music Center Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
