The Tea Party is coming to the U.S. Congress, as Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) has moved to set up an informal Congressional Tea Party Caucus in the House.

There are all kinds of Congressional caucuses, little groups of like-minded members that meet on a variety of issues, big and small.

"The House Tea Party Caucus will serve as an informal group of Members dedicated to promote Americans' call for fiscal responsiblity, adherence to the Constitution, and limited government," Bachmann wrote last week.

"The American people are doing their part and making their voices heard and this caucus will prove that there are some here in Washington willing to listen," Bachmann said in a written statement.

There are a lot of these caucuses out there and most of them you would never be able to dream up their name.

Ever heard of the Congressional HUBZone Caucus?  Neither have I.  But it's real.

How about the Congressional French Caucus?

Don't forget the Congressional Hockey Caucus and the Congressional Levee Caucus.

There's the Congressional Nanotechnology Caucus, the Congressional Romania Caucus, the Congressional Soccer Caucus and more.

Soon enough, the Tea Party Caucus should get added to that.

These caucuses don't get any additional taxpayer staffers or resources for these groups, instead any paper, staples and more that they might use just get funneled over from the offices of individual members.
