The coronavirus outbreak put even high school football on the shelf for the spring.

How will the loss of spring football, and possibly summer workouts, impact teams next season and the recruiting cycle of high school recruits?

Score Atlanta president I.J. Rosenberg hosts the “Georgia Prep Sports from a Distance” video podcast, which will address the topic with a variety of guests, who include Robin Hines, the executive director of the Georgia High School Association; Rusty Mansell of 247Sports; and West Forsyth athletic director Brett Phipps.

Hines, who took control of the GHSA in June 2017, will address the decisions that led to the cancellation of spring sports due to the coronavirus pandemic. Mansell, a leading recruiting expert, will put into perspective what the stoppage means for the student athletes. Phipps will address the administrative side of the implications from graduation to everything in between.

The podcast is produced by PlayOn Sports, which runs the National Federation High School network, and airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting at noon.
