Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad is quite a doll - literally. She's thrilled to have inspired a Barbie in her likeness, and especially proud that the doll will be the first Barbie to wear a hijab. "This is a childhood dream come true," she posted. The doll is part of the "She-ro" line.

An Olympic bronze medalist who was the first woman to wear a hijab while representing the United States at the Olympics, Muhammad was in Atlanta last year for "Make History with Ibtihaj: Atlanta Muslim Election Rally," a voter turnout rally. As AJC religion writer Shelia Poole reported at the time , the event was hosted by the Georgia Muslim Voter Project, I-PAC Georgia, the Muslim Mix and the Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
