The countdown is on! Marvel's latest blockbuster will be in widespread release on Friday.

We saw an early screening and the most surprising part was .. just kidding! No spoilers here.

But, we can take you behind the scenes for a peek at some of the Atlanta filming locations.

A key scene pits Dr. Strange, Iron-Man, Captain America and company against a terrifying foe. Most days the streets where it all went down are pretty lively and friendly, in Atlanta's Fairlie-Poplar district. Here's what it looked like during filming.

Speaking of Dr. Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch didn't need his magic cloak when he met a special new friend in downtown Atlanta.

Speaking of street scenes, Marvel has taken a real shine to a particular stretch of asphalt along Mitchell Street near Ted Turner Drive. "Captain America: Civil War" blew up a building there (not really) and "Spider-Man: Homecoming had Tom Holland swing by (pardon the pun) prior to "Avengers: Infinity War" coming to town. Here's the block to look out for.

Chris Hemsworth swings a mighty hammer as Thor. Here he is swinging it in Midtown .

The CGI-heavy production was headquartered at Pinewood Studios in Fayette County, which is where many of the Marvel stars filmed an impromptu fashion shoot.

You'll spot Midtown, downtown and east Atlanta in some of the street scenes craftily made to look like New York City with props like New York Post newspaper boxes and NYC taxi decals. Here are some of filmmakers' favorite spots to shoot in downtown Atlanta.
