Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham, in Atlanta filming a new CW pilot called "Insatiable," are campaigning for Democrat candidate Jon Ossoff in the crowded race to fill the sixth congressional district seat vacated when Tom Price became U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary.
The two are offering to pick up voters who need a lift to cast their ballots; early voting began Monday, ahead of the April 18 contest.

Ossoff, a documentary filmmaker who was until recently unknown to even veteran Georgia strategists, is one of 18 hopefuls seeking to succeed Price. As AJC political writer Greg Bluestein reported, "no Democrat has represented Georgia's 6th Congressional District since Newt Gingrich won the seat in 1978, and since then the reliably conservative district, which now spans from east Cobb County to north DeKalb County, has launched the congressional careers of Johnny Isakson and Price."
The actors' tweet drew a quick response from Maddie Anderson, South/Central Regional Press Secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
"Breaking news – looks like John (sic) Ossoff’s campaign now employs Hollywood elitists to be in charge of his voter outreach program!" she said in an email.
Noted NRCC Communications Director Matt Gorman via tweet: " Nothing says 'I care about local issues' (more) than flying in a Hollywood celebrity."

The Ossoff campaign sent a statement in response to the social media attention: "The Ossoff campaign is excited to have Alyssa and Chris on board today, giving some of their valuable time helping the campaign. They are part of an energized team of more 7,500 volunteers who have already helped us knock on doors, phone bank and engage with thousands of Sixth District voters."
