Even if you're not running in the AJC Peachtree Road Race, if you're cheering on the runners with a drink in your hand, you're still doing your part. Check out these restaurants on the race's route that will be open early on the 4th of July.
10th and Piedmont. The eatery at the tail end of the race will start serving its brunch menu at 8 a.m. the day of the race.

Cook Hall. The restaurant will start serving its brunch menu, complete with brunch drinks, starting at 6:30 a.m. Check out the patio for the best view.

Mellow Mushroom. Located at mile marker 4, Mellow Mushroom will serve up free pizza from the Mellow Mushroom Bake Bus starting at 7 a.m. Prefer to sit? The restaurant opens at 10 a.m.

Mourning Dove. The Shops Buckhead coffee shop will open at 7 a.m. the morning of the race, offering up coffee drinks and breakfast items.

R. Thomas. The vegetarian restaurant is open 24 hours, so swing by as early as you want to grab a prime seat.

Shake Shack. Proving it's never too early for a burger, Shake Shack at Shops Buckhead will open at 8:30 a.m. serving a limited menu including Shandys.

Tavernpointe. Look for some special brunch items in addition to the restaurant's regular lunch menu beginning at 7 a.m.

The Whitley. The hotel at the race's starting line is celebrating with a Party on Peachtree starting at 7 a.m. and featuring a DJ on the terrace overlooking the start line, with a grab-and-go breakfast menu with cold-press juice bar. A Bloody Mary and Sparkle Bar starts at 9 a.m., and a breakfast buffet will be available inside for $34.
