A steakhouse with a TV pedigree will make its debut in Duluth in mid-July.
Uncle Jack's Meat House is set to open next month at 6590 Sugarloaf Parkway. The concept, from restaurateur Willie Degel, host of "Restaurant Stakeout" on Food Network, will be the first outside of Degel's native New York.
Degel, who already operates an Uncle Jack's Meat House in Queens, as well as New York locations of Uncle Jack's Steakhouse, Uncle Jack's Steak Sandwich Shop and Jack's Shack, said the metro Atlanta area is a natural fit for his brand.

"I've visited the area many times," he said. "It's a great eating city, and I love the indoor-outdoor atmosphere."
He said while he looked at several areas for expansion, he was sold on Duluth in part because of the location's proximity to the Infinite Energy Arena.
Uncle Jack's Meat House, which Degel said will have a "cool, funky, laid-back environment" reminiscent of a 1900s meat warehouse, will feature an "affordable, farm-to-table menu" including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, sides and desserts, as well as locally-sourced craft cocktails, beers and wines.
The restaurant, which will serve lunch and dinner as well as weekend brunch, will seat about 50 people inside, about 14 at the bar and about 75 on its outdoor patio.
Degel, who said he hopes to create a "comfortable, inviting" atmosphere, hopes the Duluth location will be the first of many of in metro Atlanta, and said he also sees the opportunity for his other concepts to have homes in Georgia and beyond.
"I love Atlanta. It's growing and it's only getting better."
