Ready to get Twisted?
Chef Deborah VanTrece will open Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours this Saturday, Dec. 3 for dinner service beginning at 5 p.m. The new incarnation of the eatery will be located at 1133 Huff Rd NW after closing in Decatur at the end of 2015. The Huff Road location was previously occupied by Bone Lick BBQ, which closed Aug. 14. Bone Lick's Old Fourth Ward location, which opened last year at 327 Edgewood Ave. , remains open.
Twisted Soul will serve up “modern interpretations of Southern soul food peppered with global influences from Chef VanTrece’s lifetime of travel,” according to a press release.
The restaurant will serve lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, as well as grab-and-go items.
VanTrece’s wife and business partner Lorraine Lane will reprise her role as beverage director, creating the cocktail program and curating the wine and beer selection with a focus on local craft brews.
In addition to Twisted Soul, VanTrece also runs the Catering Company by VanTrece and appeared on the NBC cooking competition “Food Fighters” in 2015. She previously owned Edible Art restaurant in East Atlanta.
Lunch service at Twisted Soul will begin on Dec. 6 with regular lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and weekend brunch will begin the following weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 -11.
