A Philadelphia pho shop has expanded to metro Atlanta.

The owners of popular Pho Ga Thanh Thanh are behind Pho Ga Tony Tony, which soft opens today at Carter Oak Plaza at 5495 Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Norcross.

The restaurant is run by Tony Le, whose parents opened Pho Ga Thanh Thanh in the East Kensington neighborhood in Philadelphia. Le serves as both a partner and executive chef.

Le told the AJC that during the soft open period, the restaurant “will focus mainly on our famous chicken pho dish.” The menu also features whole, half and quarter chicken as well as a variety of drinks.

"Pho Ga Tony Tony focuses on only high quality ingredients, a slow and generous cook time, and of course a couple hidden secrets," the restaurant's website says. "This is Phở Gà like you've never had before, so delicious you'll cry, and so comforting you'll feel like you're being hugged by your grandmother. That is, if your grandmother is a Vietnamese dude named Tony and makes the best chicken soup in history."

For now, the restaurant will operate seven days a week, but in the near future, will only be open six days a week.

Opening hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
