A new spot for “food, sports and vibes” is slated to open next week in Grant Park.
The Beverly is set to open Aug. 23 at 790 Glenwood Ave. SE in a Kroger-anchored mixed-use development. It takes over the spot previously occupied by The Brass Tap, which closed last summer.
The Beverly, which comes from owner Mario Johnson, promises via its website "American-Caribbean fusion cuisine and classic dishes" along with "local brews and entertainment."
Lunch and dinner menus posted online feature a variety of paninis, subs and wraps, salads, burgers and sides, with dishes including jerk chicken eggrolls, pimento cheese fritters, a Fat Daddy Burger made with two beef patties, grilled pastrami, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato and avocado aioli and 3-Herb Airline Chicken. There are also several vegan and vegetarian selections, as well as a kids menu.
The interior “reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding metro area while also paying tribute to Atlanta’s sports teams.” The space also includes a patio.
Dudley Isidore will serve as the The Beverly’s executive chef, and David Cunningham will be the restaurant’s general manager.
The AJC has reached out to the restaurant’s management for more details on The Beverly.
