A popular Midtown restaurant will close its doors this weekend after 10 years in business.
TAP Gastropub is set to close Sunday at 1180 Peachtree St. NE,, What Now Atlanta first reported. A location at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will remain open.
Concentrics Restaurants, which owns TAP as well as Two Urban Licks, Parish, Allora, Room and Molly B's at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and restaurants in several other cities, released a statement about the closure:
"It’s been a extraordinary run at TAP over the past 10 years. We greatly appreciate the support and patronage we have received, not only from the Midtown community, but from Atlantans and visitors alike. Our lease was up for renewal and we decided to continue to focus on new concepts and the steady growth of our concept development business in Atlanta and across the country. We look forward to sharing exciting announcements in the coming months.”
Tenants of the 1180 Peachtree development where the restaurant is located received an email Wednesday alerting them to the closure, including an invite to a "Last Call" happy hour from 4-7 p.m. Friday.
This is the second closure for Concentrics eateries in recent months -- One Midtown Kitchen shuttered in March. Former One Midtown Kitchen executive chef Matt Weinstein moved into the same position at TAP in April.
All TAP employees have been offered jobs at other Concentrics locations, a representative for the restaurant group confirmed.
