A downtown Atlanta mainstay is getting a makeover this year.

Sports bar STATS, located at 300 Marietta St. NW, announced it will add an in-house brewery to  its restaurant space and is rebranding itself as STATS Brewpub. The brewery addition will allow STATS to expand the beer list to include up to six of its own craft brews along with the full bar program featuring local, regional and international beers. Construction on the brewery will begin this month and the first beer is anticipated to be tapped in July 2017.

“The brewery is something we’ve been thinking about, and with the ever growing popularity in the craft beer scene, especially in Atlanta, it seems like a great opportunity and addition to our restaurant,” said Legacy Ventures Chief Operating Officer for Restaurants Brian Bullock in a release.

The new brewery will take over the restaurant’s Coke Zero event space located in the lower level of the restaurant. Once it opens, small groups will be hosted in the tasting room for private parties as well as beer dinners and other events. In addition to its beverage program, the bar offers a variety of pub fare, a beer tap tabletop system and 70 televisions throughout.

STATS is working on securing a brewmaster to oversee the program. The bar is owned by Legacy Ventures, which also owns and manages downtown Atlanta spots Game-X, Twin Smokers BBQ, Glenn’s Kitchen, SkyLounge at the Glenn Hotel, Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria, Der Biergarten, Ventanas, City View Room, Legacy Catering and Events and Legacy Test Kitchen.
