A restaurant from a Savannah-based restaurant group is now open in Atlanta.

Public Kitchen & Bar opened earlier this week in Phipps Plaza at the mall's Peachtree Road entrance. Daniel Reed Hospitality also owns four restaurants in Savannah.

The upscale casual restaurant serves a farm-to-table menu with items including grass-fed burgers sourced from managing partner Jamie Durrence’s family farm located in Glennville, seafood, desserts and a full bar including custom cocktails and wine on draft.

The 220-seat space, designed by creative director Robby Perkins, has design elements inspired by the 1950s, as well as a rotating art collection from Jackson Fine Art, an outdoor patio with living green wall and private elevator access from the Phipps Plaza parking garage into the restaurant.

Open seven days a week, Public Kitchen & Bar will offer a lunch and dinner menu as well as a brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays. The first come, first serve restaurant will let guests add themselves to the waitlist through the Nowait app.

The eatery is one of several set to open at Phipps Plaza this year, including the upcoming Ecco and Grand Lux Cafe . Nobu hotel and restaurant are slated to open at the center in 2019.
