Red’s Beer Garden now open in Benteen Park for beer, wine and hot dogs

Benteen Park has a new spot for beer and hot dogs.

Red's Beer Garden is now open at 1328 Boulevard SE, with a grand opening celebration from 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. featuring hot dogs, a variety of drinks, cheese balls, swag, games and free cookies from Just Bakery. 10% of food and drink sales will be donated to Community Farmers Market.

The beer garden, from husband and wife Ed and Kristen Sumpter, offers more than 250 kinds of drinks including beer, wine, cider, mead, spiked kombucha, spiked seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages. Customers can choose their drink of choice from self-serve, glass door coolers.

Red's will also offer hot dogs from local business Pigman Goods. 

The 1,842 square-foot space also includes a rear deck with seating, just off the future Southside Beltline, as well as a semi-private lounge that seats up to 20 and is available for rental.

Red’s regular hours will be 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.
