A historic dining and retail development in Poncey Highland is getting two new tenants with familiar names next year.

Plaza on Ponce at 1049 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE will welcome a second location of local ice cream shop Queen of Cream and a new location of California-based ramen shop Jinya Ramen Bar, Tomorrow's News Today first reported and a representative for SRS Real Estate Partners confirmed.

Queen of Cream, which got its start as a mobile ice cream cart in 2014, opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Old Fourth Ward in 2015.

The first metro Atlanta location of Jinya opened in 2016 in Sandy Springs, with a second location following in Buckhead. Another location is set to open next year at Alpharetta City Center.

The spots will join the recently-announced Joey Ward eateries Georgia Boy and Southern Belle in Plaza on Ponce. Already open in the development are Righteous Room, Insomnia Cookies, Majestic Diner and San Francisco Coffee.

Plaza on Ponce opened in 1939 with the debut of the Plaza Theatre and is also home to several retail concepts including Buffalo Exchange and Urban Outfitters.
