Sweets treats are coming to Summerhill.
Little Tart Bakeshop owner Sarah O'Brien will open a location of her bakery on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, Eater Atlanta first reported. The shop, which will join Little Tarts in Grant Park and Krog Street Market, will offer pastries, an espresso bar and small brunch and lunch menus.
Next door, O'Brien will open soft serve ice cream spot Big Softie, which will sell soft serve made from Georgia dairy with house-made cones and toppings.
O'Brien, who has been a James Beard Award semifinalist in the Outstanding Baker category and was named a StarChefs Rising Star Chef earlier this year , said she hopes to open the shops this year.
Summerhill will be home to several buzzy culinary and beverage projects in the coming months including Talat Market, Hodgepodge Coffee, Woods Chapel BBQ and Halfway Crooks Brewing and Blending.
