Nothing's set in stone yet -- an address hasn't even been announced -- but all signs are pointing to Grant Park getting an outpost of a popular Avondale Estates butcher shop.
Pine Street Market sent an email to its customers this week addressing the second location:
The Rumors Are True We are forming a partnership with Riverview Farms to open Atlanta's first "farmer- owned butcher shop". We are not closing/ moving Pine Street Market. We are currently looking in the Grant Park area around Memorial Drive. We know the new space will include cooking classes & events, prepared meals with our new Big Green Egg & Lodge Cast Iron, farm fresh produce, every cut & item you see at PSM plus a whole lot more! Shelves & coolers fully stocked with our favorite Georgia food producers like Doux South, Decimal Place, Global Growers, Wrecking Barn, Unicoi Preserves, Sweet Grass Dairy, and more!
Owner Rusty Bowers, a Culinary Institute of America graduate and fine dining chef, opened Pine Street at 4 Pine St. with his wife, Travis, in 2009, concentrating on fresh sausages and salumi. The shop also sells several kinds of cured meats and bacons and sells at several farmers markets. Pine Street products are used by several local restaurants including Avondale Estates neighbor My Parents' Basement , Buttermilk Kitchen and Ria's Bluebird.
