American Craft Beer Week, May 14-20, begins today, with celebrations at breweries, beer bars, bottle shops and restaurants all across the country.

Allagash's Jason Perkins at the Tap on Ponce May 14 — Share a beer with Allagash brewmaster Jason Perkins tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Ponce City Market, including rare and wild ales and special bottle selections. https://www.atthetap.com.
Southeastern Showcase at the Porter Beer Bar May 14 — Kicking off tonight in L5P with a Southeastern tap takeover featuring Creature Comforts, Three Taverns Green Bench, Burial, Red Brick and more. http://www.theporterbeerbar.com.

A satirical beer with a message from Second Self cofounders Jason Santamaria and Chris Doyle, who created the “throwback double IPA as an homage to the bitter and clear IPAs that inspired them to start brewing over a decade ago.”
It's brewed with with dank, resiny blend of Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops, giving it classic American pine and citrus notes with a unreconstructed bitter finish.
