Sure, we may not have the Hollywood sign or the Empire State Building, but what makes Atlanta’s city so unique is we have the pick of three different “skylines” lining Peachtree Street: Downtown’s gold-capped Capitol, Midtown’s glowing 55-story Bank of America Plaza, and Buckhead’s 3344 Peachtree Sovereign building. We know that every restaurant has a special view, but we made a few picks that are worth spending the evening, drink in hand, to admire the sky.

Either the location in Grant Park or West Midtown offers a sprawling view of both the Downtown and Midtown skylines. Voted by Travel + Leisure as the 30 best outdoor bars, you can’t beat the laid-back vibe when you’re sipping a refreshing draft beer.

Stats is nestled between a row of lively bars on Marietta Street. Close to the action of the Georgia Dome, Centennial Park and Philips Arena, the atmosphere buzzes with sports fans and the custom tap system lets you pour without dealing with servers.

Artmore Hotel

1302 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta

Drop the “hotel” from the title, and you get a classy, swank bar. Their tented outdoor patio mimics an ad for Ikea with astroturf grass and stark-white plump sofas to lounge on.

Park Tavern

500 10th Street, Atlanta

404-249-0001

View of: Midtown Skyline We can't mention astounding views without including this gem that overlooks Piedmont Park. The patio illuminates a blue glow and highlights the "tweezer" building that rises above 14th Street.

Rooftop 866

866 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta

Not many rooftop bars are seasonal, but this one makes it worth the wait. Fire pits, lanterns and ambient lighting are speckled amongst the pebbled stone and faux greenery. Their cocktails are equally approachable and creative.

Whiskey Blue

3377 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta

The ride up the glass elevator to this rooftop bar is fun enough, and on the way down after a martini or two it can feel like a carnival ride. The vibe is polished, and sheeted curtains surrounding sleek couches allow for intimacy on the outdoor terraces.
