An Atlanta institution is making a move.
French restaurant Petite Auberge , which has been settled in the Toco Hill shopping center since 1974, will serve its last meal in the space on New Year's Eve.
It will reopen in early 2017 at 2948 Clairmont Rd. in Atlanta, currently home to French restaurant Violette. Brothers Anthony and Michael Gropp, who own Petite Auberge, will buy the property, and the two restaurants will merge into one, according to Anthony.

But fans of Violette needn't worry, Anthony said. The new restaurant will likely feature a new name -- likely Petite Violette -- and Violette's menu will remain largely intact, with several additions from the Petite Auberge menu. Staff members from both restaurants will stay on during and after the transition.
"We want to keep the best of both places," Anthony said. "We're both French restaurants, so we already have a lot in common."
Anthony said he and Michael did try to find a way to stay in Toco Hill, and that the new owners of the shopping mall "tried to make things work," but that ultimately, it was the right time for a move.
