The British pub concept known simply as The Pub will close its doors at Perimeter Mall after service tonight.
David Bell, director of operations for Tavern Restaurant Group, which owns The Pub, addressed the closure in a prepared statement.
"This was not an easy decision, but closing our Perimeter mall location will allow us to focus on our profitable restaurants and is in the best interest of our company as a whole," said Bell. "We are very grateful to the Perimeter community for their patronage and to our team members for their efforts, but this particular location has been unable to meet sales quotas since opening in 2014. The Pub concept overall continues to thrive in other markets, and we look forward to bringing The Pub to select locations in the future.”
Tavern Restaurant Group owns eight locations of The Pub in other cities, as well as concepts American tavern deSha’s and Nicholson’s, a Scottish inspired gastropub.
The AJC has reached out to Perimeter Mall to get details on future plans for The Pub space at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road NE.
