Ocean Market has reopened at 489 Peachtree St. NE in downtown Atlanta.
The Parisian-inspired bistro from Chef Shane McIntosh initially opened in 2014 before closing for an extensive remodel. Look for grab-and-go and dine-in options including paninis, salads, sandwiches, crepes, soups and several vegetarian options. The menu also features specialty items such as the 68 Come Back peanut butter and banana sandwich and the Yard Bird made with grilled chicken breast, gruyère, lettuce, tomato and green onion aioli.
The 1,400 square-foot storefront features electric red doors, butcher-block counter tops and a small dine-in area with eat-in bar seating and a community table in the center.
Ocean Market is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Red Hare Brewing Co. in Marietta is expanding its brewing capacity by 15 percent to accommodate its Soft J IPA and Tangering SPF 50/50 brews.
Varuni Napoli is now serving alcohol at its Krog Street Market location. Look for negronis and rosé on tap, draft beer and housemade cocktails.
Deborah VanTrece of Twisted Soul Cookhouse in West Midtown, Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani in Decatur and Botiwalla at Ponce City Market and Brian Moll of The Farmhouse at Serenbe were among 15 chefs nationwide chosen to represent Atlanta in the James Beard Foundation's 14th Chefs Boot Camp for Policy and Change. Held March 18-20 at the Inn at Serenbe, the boot camp helps the chef learn effective advocacy skills while exploring the issues and opportunities around the upcoming Farm Bill.
After announcing it would close last month , Cowtippers in Ansley Park is now saying it will stay open for "the foreseeable future".
Abuelos Mexican Kitchen & Cantina has opened in Abernathy Square at the corner of Abernathy and Roswell roads in Sandy Springs, Tomorrow's News Today reports. The restaurant replaces CT Cocina & Taqueria , which closed earlier this year.
Philadelphia-based City Tap House will open its first Georgia location this summer in Midtown, What Now Atlanta reports. The gastropub will replace Gordon Biersch, which closed in late 2017 at 848 Peachtree St. NE.
