A now-shuttered longtime Virginia-Highland pub won’t stay empty for long.
Neighboring business Neighbor's Pub has taken over the lease at 752 N. Highland Ave., the former home of Hand in Hand, which closed in July.
Neighbor’s has already completed construction to take over the full patio. The restaurant will work on interior construction to take over the space completely.
For now, the restaurant is expanding the dog-friendly patio and working on developing the interior with a goal of mid-2019 to have interior construction/renovations complete. The owners of Neighbor’s also own nearby bars
Dark Horse and 10 High.
"We're very excited for the opportunity to expand our concept in to the new space and provide more for our guests, especially right in time for football season and the fall,” said Jessica Ramsey, chief operating officer. “While it is bittersweet to see our neighbor close, we are looking forward to providing more for the community."
