Here are the stories that made a splash in the Atlanta food world this week.
The Sandy Springs location of Henri's Bakery & Cafe is reopening at 7 a.m. July 21. The remodeled store now features stainless steel countertops, white subway tile, quartz tables and a new banquette.
To celebrate the new space at 6289 Roswell Road, the eatery is hosting a back-to-school party from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28 featuring bakery samples, a balloon artist and face painting. Shoppers who bring in their receipt for back-to-school supplies July 21-28 receive 10 percent off their order, up to $10.
Henri's also has locations in West Midtown and Buckhead.
The Decatur location of Savi Provisions is hosting a grand opening celebration from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 22. The store, which opened in May at 180 Ponce de Leon Ave., will offer wine, craft beer and spirit tastings from Scofflaw Brewing Co., Three Taverns Brewery, Eventide Brewing, Old 4th Ward Distillery, bites from local vendors including The Spotted Trotter, Pine Street Market and Rosella Baked Goods and live music from Coyote Anyway. There will also be vendor giveaways including branded beer coolers and distillery tours and a charity raffle with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Giving Kitchen.
ATL Fusion BBQ opened late last month at 3801 Austell Road SW in Marietta. The eatery serves dishes including chipotle barbecue glazed tacos, rib tips and Jack Daniels-glazed turkey ribs and sides including mac and cheese and collard greens.
Miracle pop-up holiday bar will return to Atlanta again this year with two locations: Miracle on Monroe in the Tapa Tapa space at the Midtown Promenade and Miracle by Buckhead at Shops Buckhead Atlanta. The bars will be open from Nov. 23-Dec. 31.
