From 14 Atlanta locations to one, the Old Hickory House in Dunwoody has closed, leaving a lone location on Northlake Parkway in Tucker. While some diners have long forgotten the hearty meals that are iconic at this restaurant, others say there is a small, but deep hole that the restaurant's closing has left in city's dining scene. Yesterday Bob Townsend reported the news so today, we heard from a few fans of the long-standing restaurant.

"I don't think anything will replace the Hickory House for what it truly was. Everyone knew where it was and enjoyed the camaraderie. A great deal of politics took place at the Hickory House and that was okay. I placed the "Not a bank" sign in front because I want to help with the conversation. It's great that we have a lot of banks in the area because banks are a sign of a strong community. But hopefully a good replacement will make Dunwoody even better than it already is."
