A new restaurant from the team behind Buckhead restaurant Bangkok Station is now open across from Lenox Square.

Silom Thai & Sushi Bar opened its doors today for lunch and dinner on Lenox Road, taking over the space previously occupied by Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi, which closed over the summer.

Silom -- named for a district and road in the Bang Rak district in Bangkok -- offers a menu of small plates including fried tofu, takoyaki and crispy Brussels sprouts; Thai dishes including green curry, pad thai and Drunken Man Noodle; sushi; dessert; and a separate lunch menu.

The seasonal cocktail list features drinks such as a Butter Whiskey Sour and Mai Tais.

The restaurant comes from Nithidol and Ratinthon Nithithanawut, who opened Bangkok Station on Pharr Road in Buckhead in 2015.

Silom is open 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 5-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 5-11 p.m. Friday; noon-11 p.m. Saturday; and noon-10 p.m. Sunday.

The AJC has reached out for more details.
