The newest metro Atlanta Whole Foods 365 store will feature a dedicated spot for local and national beers, wines and ciders as well as a variety of small bites.
Pour de Leon, located in the Whole Foods 365 Decatur store at 1555 Church St. will feature an extensive selection of local and national beers, wines and ciders as well as hot small bites when the store opens Dec. 12.
Local beers will include the Automatic Pale Ale and the Galactic Space Circus Double IPA from Athens brewery Creature Comforts’ Atlanta Tart Plum Saison from Atlanta’s Orpheus’ Brewing; and the Euphoria Pilsner from New Realm Brewing on Atlanta’s Eastside Beltline. There will also be offerings from national breweries including Blue Moon and New Holland Brewing.
Also look for cider from local cidery Urban Tree and selections from wineries including Sean Minor.
The food menu will feature several hot bar bites including eggrolls, chicken wings and empanadas. Grab-and-go options including salads and snacks will also be available.
Customers will also have access to free, old-school arcade games including Street Fighter 2, Ms. Pacman and Donkey Kong. The space will also feature two TVs and offer free wi-fi and a carpeted play area with small tables, chairs, a chalkboard wall and games for kids.
The 5,000 square-foot, 46 seat venue will be located on the store’s second floor Mezzanine level, with access through the main store and a street level entrance at the intersection of North Decatur Road and Church Street.
In addition to the Decatur location, a Whole Foods 365 store will also open at 9 a.m.Dec. 12 at 3535 Northside Parkway in Buckhead.
On opening day, the first 100 customers in line at either store will receive a Whole Foods Market 365 gift card ranging in value from $5 to $365 and a free reusable tote bag. There will also be coffee, snacks and music for shoppers waiting in line, and doors will open at 9 a.m.
Following the stores’ grand opening events, both locations will be open daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
In addition to Pour de Leon, the Decatur store will also feature a dtox juice location and the Buckhead store will be home to a Sublime Tree. Both stores will be home to Loteria Grill locations.
The businesses are opening in the new Whole Foods stores as part of the company’s Friends of Whole Foods Market program, which partners with outside businesses.
