A wine shop specializing in Porturguese wines is now open in Kirkwood.
Dom Biejos opened at 2033 Hosea L. Williams Drive late last week, in time for the Kirkwood Wine Stroll.
The business offers more than 70 varieties of wine by the bottle, two wines by the glass every day and snacks including meats, cheeses and chocolates that pair well with wines.
Owner Melissa Abreu told Atlanta Magazine that she'd been wanting to open a retail store reflecting her Portuguese heritage for a long time.
In addition to Portuguese wines, Abreu will offer Old World and California options, as well six-packs and single bottles and cans of local beers.
The 1,200 square-foot space will feature a counter where Abreu will offer wines by the glass, with seating for eight people outside and 16 inside. The interior will feature rotating art from local artists.
