One of the first restaurant to open in the Shops Buckhead Atlanta development will close its doors by the end of the year.
Dolce Italian, which opened in September 2015 and was the winner of Bravo's "Best New Restaurant" hosted by Tom Colicchio, will close Dec. 30, according to a press release from John Meadow, founder and president of LDV Hospitality.
The group also owns Shops Buckhead concepts American Cut steakhouse and the Regent Cocktail Club , and also owned Corso Coffee, which closed earlier this year to make way for Revelator Coffee concept The Mourning Dove.
"It is bittersweet..." Meadow said in an emailed statement. "While we have loved Dolce, we have decided to focus our efforts on American Cut and the Regent Cocktail Club. Much of our devoted Dolce team will be coming over to American Cut, and we look forward to welcoming our Dolce guests as well...Thank you for the memories at Dolce and the continued support of American Cut and the Regent Cocktail Club."
He noted "excitement" over the opening of The Cut Bar, a tavern menu served on the ground floor bar of American Cut offering comfort foods and beverages from 11:30 a.m. until close.
LDV, which initially encountered some snags in opening American Cut , also owns and operates American Cut locations in New York, as well as restaurants in several other cities including Chicago, Las Vegas and Miami.
