Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia hotel is getting three new food and beverage concepts this year as part of its full-scale renovation.
The Perimeter-area hotel, located at 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Road, will unveil two of the concepts, Parkwoods and Lightwell, in March, with the third, Backyard at Parkwoods, coming in late spring.
Led by executive chef Joe Gentempo, Parkwoods will serve as the hotel’s centerpiece restaurant with a menu featuring “timeless and comforting classics rooted in the tradition of regional Southern-American cooking,” according to a prepared statement. Look for dishes including cream of broccoli soup with a cheddar biscuit; fried chicken with braised collard greens, red eye gravy, and a biscuit; and seared red snapper with butter braised radish, lemon fingerling potatoes and salsa verde. The bar program will offer custom cocktails, regional and craft beers and a focus on American-made wines.

Lightwell, a café to be located in the lobby of the hotel, offers all-day Italian-inspired food and drink with an expanded menu available after 4 p.m. and a space that will feature mid-century modern finishings and a plaza workspace. The menu will include dishes such as mushroom flatbreads with seasonal mushrooms, prosciutto, fontina and roasted garlic prepared in a wood-fired oven; a sugar snap pea salad with Marcona almonds, citrus Greek yogurt and red chili flake; and vegan chocolate chip cookies. Caffeinated offerings including espresso and cappuccino made with Batdorf & Bronson coffee will be served throughout the day. Lightwell’s cocktail program will offer negronis on tap, a selection of beers, an extensive by-the-glass wine menu and more than 120 spirits.

Later into the year, Backyard at Parkwoods, an extension of the Parkwoods concept, will serve as an outdoor beer garden. The menu, overseen by Gentempo will feature shareable snacks such as soft pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, sausages, charcuterie boards and pulled pork sliders. On the beverage side, look for a variety of German and local craft beers, spiked sweet teas, wines and sodas. Open seasonally, the space will feature a mix of large picnic-style tables, lounge furniture, water features and oversized lawn games.
Spearheaded by Atlanta-based The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry, Crowne Plaza Ravinia’s renovation will also include an updated 32,000 square-foot meeting space and 12,000 square-foot ballroom.
