On the heels of yesterday's announcement by Anne Quatrano that Abattoir will shut its doors after dinner service on March 28, Ford Fry's Rocket Farm Restaurants group confirmed this morning that it will soon be taking over the space.

"Yes indeed, our empire builder is taking the space," said Rocket Farm PR & Event Director Valerie Mosley. "We adore being on the west side and it's a great spot so it just makes sense. Details about concept, opening... To come."

Recently named a 2015 James Beard Awards Outstanding Restaurateur semifinalist, Fry's growing restaurant roster includes JCT. Kitchen & Bar and The Optimist on Atlanta's westside, as well as No. 246 in Decatur, King + Duke and St. Cecilia in Buckhead, The El Felix at Avalon in Alpharetta, and newly opened Superica at Krog Street Market.

Look for a sister restaurant to The Optimist coming soon to the Inman Quarter development in Inman Park.
