Chick-fil-A will soon reopen the doors to customers at some locations, but service will be carryout only. On May 1, the Atlanta-based fast food chain posted on its website that some locations would soon begin allowing customers to enter for takeout, but stressed that dining rooms and play sets would not be open yet.

Chick-fil-A’s service will look a little different as it adapts to guidelines and recommendations from health officials and organizations like the CDC. According to the company’s announcement, changes will include “plexiglass partitions and hand sanitizer stations available for [guests’] use.” Chick-fil-A locations with open doors will implement contactless ordering and ask customers to follow social distancing guidelines while waiting in line.

Chick-fil-a closed all of its locations to on-premise dining on March 26, but has continuously offered takeout service thanks to drive-through and curbside pickup options throughout the coronavirus pandemic. The chain also offers delivery from some of its restaurants. On its website, Chick-fil-a offers regular updates related to the coronavirus crisis and has detailed its service changes on a page called Safe Service.
