The plant-based burger spot that’s a favorite with celebrities and often sees lines down the block is celebrating its first anniversary today.

Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole will hand out 1,500 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the restaurant's brick-and-mortar location at 1542 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW in Atlanta.

The giveaway will be followed by a party from 5-9 p.m. at the Gathering Spot at 384 Northyards Blvd. NW in Atlanta. Jermaine Dupri will DJ and Cole will provide details on Slutty Vegan's planned second brick-and-mortar location in Jonesboro.

Cole started Slutty Vegan as a food truck in summer 2018 and expanded with her Westview location in January 2019.

Both the food truck and the restaurant consistently see long lines, assisted in part by lots of celebrity endorsements including Snoop Dogg, Taraji P. Henson, Will Smith, Tiffany Haddish and T.I.

In addition to her food truck and Atlanta locations, Cole has popped up with Slutty Vegan in other cities and is releasing Slutty Vegan bacon.
