Atlanta native and Carolina Panther star play Cam Newton’s first foray into the hospitality industry is slated to make its official debut this weekend.

Fellaship, located at 110 Centennial Olympic Park Dr., had a trial run over Super Bowl weekend, opening for some special tastings and a viewing party. This weekend's grand opening will include an invitation-only ribbon cutting tonight, with Cinco de Mayo parties running 3 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday, 3-11 p.m. Saturday and 1-11 p.m. Sunday.

“Fellaship is an exclusive intimate lounge and restaurant experience...where class and audaciousness collide,” according to the spot’s website. A place for those to indulge in the luxuries of fine dining, cigar smoking, and socializing.”

The weekend’s menu, developed by chef Bernard Weston, includes a variety of tapas and tacos including pulled chicken and barbacoa and entrees such as lamb chops and buttermilk fried chicken. Fellaship also offers a full bar. A complete regular menu will be released next week.

“This is a dream come true for me, my brother CJ, my dad Cecil and others in my extended family,” Cam told the AJC in January. “To be able to come back to Atlanta to such a thriving business environment and start a business is just one way that I want to start giving back to my hometown that gave me my start and has been so good to me and my family. I’d like to thank the City of Atlanta, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and others for helping this dream become a reality.”
