On Wednesday, Vine and Tap announced on their Facebook page that they've closed after three years in business at 2770 Lenox Road NE. Owner Ian Mendelsohn created a wine pub that offered customers what he described in a 2015 interview with the AJC as  a place that was affordable while offering a high class experience .

Vine and Tap offered seasonal menus paired with a vast selection of wine and beer.

Mendelsohn wanted to create a place that catered to non-wine drinkers as well, partnering with bartenders who had experience in both wine and cocktails. He said the casual dining atmosphere was popular for first dates and wine flights. Last August, Mendelsohn revamped the wine list by reducing prices to make them more accessible and attractive for customers.
