Six Bridges Brewing will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday at noon in the taproom on Lakefield Drive in Johns Creek.
The festivities include the reprise of several fan favorites, as well as new and core beers for a total of 27 offerings. Look for food from Philips Barbecue and Frita Kale-o, plus music by Sean Farrell and Luke Brown.
Purchase tickets, $16-$50 plus fees, at the taproom or at Freshtix.
And with that, Six Bridges Silent Accord Coconut Stout is this week’s Beer Pick.

Silent Accord Coconut Stout
Six Bridges Brewing, Johns Creek
Available on draft and in 12-ounce cans
Profile
New England-style Medlock IPA is Six Bridges’ flagship beer. But this smooth milk stout makes a good choice for the holiday season. It’s brewed with English malts and hops, toasted coconut flakes, Madagascar vanilla beans, and a touch of lactose.
The result is a black beer with a slight head, a fairly light body, and a creamy mouthfeel. Obvious aromas and flavors of chocolate, vanilla and coconut come through, before a brisk, bittersweet finish.
Pair with
At 6.5% alcohol, Silent Accord doesn’t have the boozy character of many of the imperial stouts released during the winter season, but that makes it much more sessionable. Try pairing it with chocolate desserts, or make it a float with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
