This morning, Armando Celentano, Donald Durant and Benjamin Rhoades, the partners behind Argosy, a popular beer bar and restaurant in East Atlanta Village , announced that they had purchased the former Oak Brewpub in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur , which closed in November, not long after its grand opening celebration.

"This endeavor will be a culmination of our years of craft beer and hospitality experience," Celentano said in a press release. "We are striving to establish a destination brewery that our neighbors and the entire Atlanta beer community can be proud of. Our focus will be on sophisticated styles and flavor profiles that borrow from the past, but fully embrace modern beer culture and brewing techniques.

"The kitchen will offer beer friendly pairings, elevated comfort food, and refined pub classics. The partners are set to begin interior design starting immediately, with the brewery, bar, and dining area being open by March. Work will follow on completing the patio and outdoor commons area by spring/ early summer."

In a recent phone call, Celentano added, "The Oak team put together a world class brewing facility and kitchen. We are thrilled to get working on adding our own design elements. We absolutely love Oakhurst Village. I literally live a few few blocks away in Kirkwood and can't wait to add to the already stellar bar and restaurant scene."
