The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will offer free online advertising to local restaurants through its “Support Local Restaurants” campaign. The newspaper’s website has seen record-breaking traffic as the coronavirus pandemic has unfolded.

“We know that the restaurant community has been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 crisis and we are thinking of the businesses and their employees during these extraordinarily difficult days,” said Beth Bowers, the AJC’s director of sales, in an email to restaurants. “That's why we're reaching out to locally owned restaurants. We would like to offer free promotional support on AJC.com.”

To participate, local restaurants must provide a logo, a call-to-action headline of up to 55 characters, and a URL to be linked from the ad. This information can be emailed to Michael Horton at michael.horton@ajc.com. For questions or additional details, he can also be reached at 404-526-2355.

“Throughout the public health crisis, the AJC has been committed to serving our community through our essential local journalism to keep our community informed,” said Bowers. “But we wanted to do more as part of our public service efforts.”
